Birthday Cakes Past and Present

Every year I have a strawberry shortcake for my birthday.

This one was for my 24th birthday:

Last years birthday cake:

Sadly I was not involved in the baking or decorating of this years cake. Here's what my mom cooked up for me:

I forgot to take a picture before we cut it. Woops.

I had an awesome birthday, thanks everyone!

Birthday Treats

Alyssa bought me a little cake to celebrate before we went to the concert. I brought along some compost cookies.
Here are the ingredients for the compost cookies. I put pretzels, potato chips, chocolate chips, oats, and espresso powder. I forgot to take a picture of the finished cookies, but here are the few that are left:

AJ made me a peanut butter pie. It was soooo sooo delicious and was eaten in less than 24 hours.

There is a layer of chocolate and peanut butter chips between the cream and the crust, simply amazing.

Up next, birthday cakes through the years...

Happy Anniversary This Is Why I'm Hot! (Part 2)

For dessert I made my cooking dreams come true. I made chocolate souffles!!

These have been a dream of mine for many years now, but they have always intimidated me. I have now conquered the souffle and cannot waiiiit to make them again!

They were called hot cocoa souffles so I threw some marshmallows and chocolate syrup on top. mmmmm so so so good!

Happy 1 Year Anniversary This Is Why I'm Hot! (Part 1)

To celebrate this joyous occasion I whipped up a dinner of some Pasta Lazio which was really just a nice name for a pasta salad. I can't seem to get enough artichoke hearts in my life lately and had been looking for a recipe to use some jars of marinated chokes I had in the cabinet and this was a delightfully easy recipe to use them in.

To go with the pasta I made bacon wrapped chicken stuffed with gorgonzola cheese. It was pretty amazing, I'm not going to attempt modesty here. This recipe was my inspiration. Sorry, I forgot to take an innards shot!

Stay tuned for dessert!

I started my facebook photo album with my Peeps project from Easter last year. Sadly I did not make time to create any fun projects like these for this year's Easter so we shall sit and reflect and admire these adorable little bunnies.

Ahhhh the memories...

I'll be back tomorrow (hopefully) with something supppppppppper fantastic!

Everything I Ate in Disney World

This trip was easily the greatest thing I did in the past year and the food wasn't too bad either. I will now bore you with a complete chronicling of each and every meal I had on this amazing adventure, so shut up and enjoy it, feel free to be jealous as well.

Who could forget our lunch where we got shat on?

Morocco wins best lunch.

Best Mickey shaped item.

Best dessert was this brownie sundae, most beautiful appetizer goes to shrimp lollipops.

This was probably the prettiest meal we had, China in EPCOT.

Let the cruise feast begin!

24 hour room service = amazing.

I tried escargot and it really wasn't bad.

Lobster mac n' cheese!

First ever souffle

Beach-side buffet

The final meal

So sad to see it all go, thanks for reminiscing with me.
