Halloween Cupcakes!

The cupcakes are yellow cake that I dyed orange with crushed up Oreos mixed in.

Inside shot, looks like a jack-o-lantern face.

I piped some mummies:

So cute!

I dyed the rest of the icing to make some jack-o-lantern faces with marshmallows.

Cheesy Baked Ravioli

Giada wanted this to be made with tortellini, but I didn't have any on hand and really whats the difference? This is the cheesiest cheesy baked ravioli ever.

I used 3 cheese marinara sauce.

Then of course the ravioli is cheese filled.

Then I whisked marscarpone cheese mixed into the sauce.

THEN it all gets topped with smoked mozzarella cheese.

Cap'n Nuggets

Cap'n Crunch + chicken + deep fryer = amazing dinner

There really isn't anything more to say.

Here it is pre-fry all coated in Cap'n Crunch. As Nigella once told me "raw chicken doesn't win any beauty contests."

Here she is fresh outta the fryer all nice and crispy, the Cap'n Crunch caramelized up so nicely.

Of course we had to make some fries to go along with our chicken, and yes they were salted with bacon salt.

And see, we ate something green too! A lovely cucumber salad.

Apple Peanut Butter Tart

I used puff pastry and I couldn't be more excited about it. This is another winner from Picky Palate. It was so simple and required minimal ingredients, I really can't ask for much more. Sliced up an apple, spread peanut butter and honey on a puff pastry, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar and bake. Magical.

And I topped my slice off with some pumpkin pie ice cream.
